Weldon C. Alderfer, 89, formerly of 18th Road, Argos, Indiana died on June 13, 2015 at 8:33 p.m. at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, Indiana. He had been in declining health for the past couple of years.
Weldon was born on July 1, 1925 in Rural Fulton County to Clarence “Lee” Alderfer and Gertrude Bernice (Fletcher) Alderfer, and had lived in the Argos community all of his life.
On November 11, 1945 at the Walnut Gospel Church of Walnut, Indiana he married Wilma Jean Bodey, and together they shared 63 years with each other.
Weldon was a Farmer and retired from the Marshall County Highway Department.
He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Rochester, Indiana; and was a graduate of Argos High School with the class of 1943
Weldon is survived by his Son – Roger L. Alderfer and wife Elaine of Greenfield, Indiana
Daughter – Gloria Smith and husband Kenneth of Argos, Indiana
Step Grand Daughter – Suzette Bergstedt and husband Douglas of Logansport, Indiana
4 step great grandchildren

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Wife – Wilma Jean Alderfer; Dec. 7, 2008, Brothers - Herman and Marvin Alderfer, and Sister - Ivaline Alderfer
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday June 17, 2015 from 3 – 7 p.m. at Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana.
Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 7:00 p.m. June 17, 2015 at the funeral home with Rev. Bryce Bowman.
A Privite burial will take place at the Richland Center Cemetery, Argos, Indiana at a later date.
