Virginia Rose (Boyer) Johnston, 77 of Marshall Street, Argos, Indiana died on March 2, 2015 at 3:45 p.m. at her residence. She had been in declining health for the past three months.
Virginia was born on September 19, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to Norman R. & Evelyn (Wiler) Boyer. She had lived in the Argos community since 1983 coming from Kalamazoo, Michigan where she had lived for 42 years.
She was married to Virgil A. Hopwood Sr. and they divorced later. He preceded her on December 1, 2013.
Virginia was a factory worker most of her life, having worked for KVP Sutherlands Paper Products in Parchment, Michigan.
She attended New Song Community Church in Plymouth, Indiana; and had participated with Habitat for Humanity of Marshall County and help with the Advisory Committee for Legal Aid in Marshall County.
Virginia is survived by her Daughters – Patricia Miller and Fiancée Felix Orpiz both of Argos, Indiana; Cindy Thorpe and Husband Paul of Argos, Indiana; And Nancy Faucet and husband Terry of Clemmons, North Carolina.
Son – Virgil A. Hopwood Jr and wife Carol of Scott, Michigan
9 Grandchildren 11 Great- Grandchildren
Sisters – Joan Glick and husband Robert of Fallbrook, California; and Shiela Hern and husband Patrick of Washington, Illinois
She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband
Friends may visit with the family on Friday March 6, 2015 from 3 – 6 p.m. at New Song Community Church, 410 N. Kingston Rd., Plymouth, Indiana.
Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 6:00 p.m. March 6 2015 at the Church with Rev. Jason Chambers.
