Victor Maynard Reese

Victor Maynard Reese, 88 of Michigan Rd., Argos, Indiana died April 25, 2014 at 5:00 a.m. in the Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation, Bremen, Indiana. He had been in declining health for several months.
He was born on June 22, 1925 in Rochester, Indiana to Lloyd & Donna (Collins) Reese.
He has lived in the Argos community since 1965 coming from Rochester, Indiana.

On June 22, 1952 in Knox, Indiana he married Ann Edith (Benninghoff) Reese, together they shared 61 years. Ann preceded him on February 21, 2014.

Maynard was an Insurance Agent having worked for Farm Bureau and State Farm Insurance Company’s.  He later became an independent Insurance Agent and started MR Insurance.
He attended Argos High School and was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp serving with the 3535th Maintenance Squadron from April 3, 1946 to March 11, 1949 when he received his Honorable Discharge.
Maynard and Ann were members for over 30 years at the Jordon Baptist Church, Argos, Indiana. He is a member and attended the Faith Baptist Church of Plymouth, Indiana.  

Maynard is survived by his Son – William “Hugo” Reese and friend Elizabeth Coffin of Argos, Indiana
Grandsons – Benjamin Guy Reese of South Bend, Indiana; Paul Lloyd Reese of Warsaw, Indiana; Mark Andrew Reese of Elkhart, Indiana and 2 Great-Grandson.
Special family friend – Carma Murray and friend Stan Leedy of Plymouth, Indiana
Brothers – Wayne Reese and wife Bernice of Warsaw, Indiana; and Richard Reese and wife Cora of Denver, Indiana.
Sisters – Maxine Fish and husband Dale of Rochester, Indiana; and Bonnie Baker and husband Wayne of Mentone, Indiana
Sister-in-Law – Evelyn Reese of Rochester, Indiana

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Daughter – Jennifer Reese, Brother – Gene Reese.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday April 30, 2014 from 10 am - 12 noon at Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana.  
Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. April 30, 2014 at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Whitworth of Faith Baptist Church, Plymouth, Indiana.
Burial will follow at the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Rochester, Indiana with the United States Air Force burial unit from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the American Legion Post #68 of Argos, Indiana.
