Vickie Sue (Garner) Guhse

Vickie Sue (Garner) Guhse, 80 of 425 North, Rochester, Indiana died on December 21, 2018 at 3:35 a.m. at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, Indiana following a year long illness. On February 10, 1938 in Argos, Indiana she was born to Merritt Garner and Clara (Myers) Garner. She was born and raised in the Argos community; in 1980 she moved to Corning, Iowa and returned to Rochester, Indiana in 1992.

She was married James H. Blount they later divorced. She then married Robert L. Guhse in Carmel, Indiana on April 25, 1970, he preceded her on January 30, 2006.

She was co-owner with her husband Robert Guhse of A&T-Two, Rochester, Indiana; and she owned and operated a  Dry Cleaners in Corning, Iowa. She attended Argos Schools.

Vickie is survived by her Daughters – Debra Kingery of Argos, Indiana; and Kimberly Cooney and husband Tim of Corning, Iowa

Sons – William Blount and wife Alice of Lapaz, Indiana; Robert Blount of Rochester, Indiana; and Kenneth Guhse and wife Laura of Creston, Iowa

She is preceded in death by his Parents; Husbands; Daughter-in-Law – Kimberly Blount; Son-in-Law – Michael Klimek; Grandson – Matthew Blount; Great Grandson – Caleb Blount; and Sister Shirley Pomeroy

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday December 27, 2018 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday December 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana with Doug Pomeroy conducting the services. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana.
