Terry William Thompson

Terry William Thompson, 70 of Indiana Ave., Argos, Indiana died at 2:00 a.m. at his residence following a year long illness. He was born on March 10, 1944 to Gail Austin Thompson and Hazel Josephine (Hessler) Thompson. He has lived in the Argos community most of his life.

Terry worked for R.R. Donnelley & Sons as a Printer and a Customer Service Specialist retiring in 2001 out of the Minneapolis, MN facility after 40 years with the company.    
He was a graduate of Argos High School with the class of 1962 and served as  class President.  He served in the Army National Guard of Indiana from 1965 to 1971. He was a member of the Argos American Legion Post #68, Argos, Indiana; and The Plymouth Moose Family Center #741, Plymouth, Indiana.  After retirement, he returned to his home town of Argos, IN where he enjoyed playing golf regularly in the summer.  .

Son – Tony William Thompson and fiancee Kandy Oviatt of Plymouth, Indiana
Step-Daughter – Tanna Mae Sroda and husband Craig of Mishawaka, Indiana
Grandchildren – Abigail, Allison, and Emily Sroda of Mishawaka, Indiana
Sister – Judy K. Good of Argos, Indiana
Brother – James A Thompson and Lila of Warsaw, Indiana
Brother-in-Law – Bill Dillie of Argos, Indiana  
Several Nieces and Nephews
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Sister – Sharon A. Dillie, and Brothers – Donald L. Thompson and Robert C. Thompson, and Brother-in-Law – Danny Good

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday October 1, 2014 from 4 - 8 at Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana.  
Funeral Services will be held on October 2, 2014, 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Henry V. Sprunger.
Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery with the United States Army burial unit and the Argos American Legion Post #68 preforming military honors.
