Terry Lynn Ellis

Terry "Fuzz" Lynn Ellis, 78 of Argos, Indiana passed away April 2, 2024, at 4:20 a.m. at his son's residence in Argos, Indiana. On March 13, 1946, in Argos, Indiana, Terry was born to Marion A. Ellis Sr. and Clara Lavina (Thompson) Ellis. He lived most of his life in the Argos community.

On March 7, 1969, Terry married Diana Lynn Smiley and for 55 years they shared the joys, worries, tenderness, and companionship of their married life.

Terry worked at Delco Electronics in Kokomo, Indiana as a carpenter and also worked as a farmer. He enjoyed riding his Gold Wing motorcycle, especially cross-country trips with his brother Gary. He also enjoyed spending time tinkering in the garage and taking care of his 2003 Corvette.

He was a graduate of Plymouth High School with the class of 1964. Terry was a member of Walnut Church of Argos and had been involved with Lake City Wings Motorcycle Club and Brotherhood Ministries. He was a member of UAW Local 292, Kokomo, Indiana. He served from 1966 – 1969 in the United States Navy and received his Honorable discharge on September 26, 1969.

Terry is survived by his Wife – Diana Ellis of Argos, Indiana

Children – Cheryl (Jeff) Shoup, Huntington, Indiana; Tammy Tuley, New Palestine, Indiana; Craig (Christen) Ellis, Argos, Indiana; Jason (Kori) Ellis, Clayton, Indiana; Jody (Matt) O’Dell, New Palestine, Indiana

Grandchildren – Wyatt Ellis, Alexis O’Dell, Caleb Ellis, Carly Ellis, Aurora Ellis, Audrey O’Dell, Ava Tuley, and Sawyer Ellis

Sisters – Shirley Farkas of South Bend, Indiana, and Sharon (Tim) Schaetzle of Bourbon, Indiana

Brothers– Gary Ellis of Live Oak, Texas, Marion Ellis Jr. and Randy Ellis of South Bend, Indiana

He is preceded in death by his Parents and Brother – Larry Ellis.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday April 9, 2024, from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Walnut Church, 5975 19th Rd., Argos, Indiana. 

Funeral Service will be Wednesday April 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Walnut Church with Rev. Robert E. Rice Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow at Walnut Church Cemetery.
