Shawnee Lynn (Earl) Hughes, 50 of Mentone, Indiana died on March 14, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. at her residence. She had been in declining health for the past several years.
On January 24, 1967 in Warsaw, Indiana she was born to Albert Earl and Jennie (Lee) Earl.. Shawnee had lived all of her life in the Atwood & Mentone community's

On June 27, 1987 in Warsaw, Indiana she married Mark A. Hughes and together they shared nearly 30 years with each other.
Shawnee was a graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School with the class of 1985. She then attended IUPUI in Indianapolis, Indiana. In December, 1989 she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University.
She was a member of the Warsaw Wesleyan Church, Warsaw, Indiana.
Shawnee had worked at Lutheran Health Network KCH since 1990 starting as a Floor Nurse and ending as a Pre-Op Nurse. On February 2, 2017 because of health issues she had to give up her job she had devoted her life to.

Shawnee is survived by her Husband – Mark Hughes, Mentone, Indiana
Son – Derek Alan Hughes of Winona Lake, Indiana; and Patrick Lee Hughes of Mentone, Indiana
Mother -  Jennie Earl of Atwood, Indiana
Sisters – Angela Himes and husband AJ of Claypool, Indiana; and Amie Rogers of Warsaw, Indiana
Brother – Alan Earl and wife Luella Earl of Argos, Indiana
Father-in-Law & Mother-in-Law - Gene and Bea Hughes.

She is preceded in death by her Grandparents and Father – Albert Earl

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday March 19, 2017 from 2 – 6 p.m. at the Warsaw Wesleyan Church, 2402 W. Old Rd. 30; Warsaw, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday March 20, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Warsaw Wesleyan Church, 2402 W. Old Rd. 30; Warsaw, Indiana with Rev. Jarod Osborne.
Burial will follow at the Harrison Center Cemetery, Etna Green.
