Ruth Belle (Fear) Paterson, 84 of Argos, Indiana passed away September 7, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. in Miller's Merry Manor, Plymouth, Indiana. On May 13, 1939, in Argos, Indiana she was born to Thurl J. Fear and Elnora (Mechling) Fear. Ruth lived all her life in the Argos community.

On February 10, 1981, in Bradenton, Florida she married Thomas “Tom” Paterson and together they shared the next 42 years.

Ruth worked for many years at the Wash Board Laundromat, Argos, Indiana and at Casey’s making Pizzas, Argos, Indiana. She was a former member of Argos Lions Club and Izzak Walton, Argos, Indiana.

Ruth is survived by her Husband – Tom Paterson of Argos, Indiana

Daughter – Karen Smith and husband Tracy of Argos, Indiana

Son – Lowell Hollar and wife Susan of Argos, Indiana

8 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren

Step-Daughter – Terri Brandt and husband Rey of Plymouth, Indiana

Step-Sons – Thomas R. Paterson of Argos, Indiana; Robert Paterson of Elkhart, Indiana; and Tim Paterson and wife Shalon of Plymouth, Indiana.

Brother – Harold Fear and wife Ester of California  

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Brother – John Fear, Step-sons – William Paterson and James Paterson
