Ruth E. (Jones) Adams

Ruth Eileen (Jones) Adams, 97 of First Street, Argos, Indiana passed away May 1, 2020 at 1:12 p.m. in Miller's Merry Manor, Culver, Indiana where she had been in declining health the past five years. On February 18, 1923 in Argos, Indiana she was born to Arley Jones and Ila (Irwin) Jones. Ruth lived all of her life in the Argos community.

On August 17, 1947 in Argos, Indiana she married Harry J. Adams. Together they shared the past 72 years.

Ruth worked for the Argos Post Office for 30 years as a clerk.

She was a former member of Jordan Baptist Church. Ruth was a graduate of Argos High School with the class of 1940.

Ruth is survived by her Husband – Harry Adams of Argos, Indiana

Daughters – Shirleen Martens and husband Kim of Red Lodge, Montana; and Darleen Vanderweele  and husband Jon D. of Argos, Indiana

7 Grandchildren    25 Great Grandchildren

She is preceded in death by her Parents; Brothers – Clair Jones and Ancil Jones; Sister – Rosellen Morrell; Great Grandchildren – Hudson Nielson and Trevon Browning

Private Graveside Services will be held at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana with Rev. Mary Hyer of the Argos United Methodist Church.
