Robert “Bob” Harris, 78 of Rochester, Indiana passed away April 3, 2026, at 6:14 p.m. at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, Indiana. On October 6, 1946, in Atlanta, Georgia he was born to Willie James Harris and Evelyn Harris, he was raised by his adoptive parents Joseph Malcomb and Julia (Metts) Malcomb in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. He had lived in Fulton County since 1995. Coming from Indianapolis, Indiana.
On November 26, 1992, in Cleveland, Ohio he married Patricia "Pat" I. Harris. She preceded him on March 6, 2011, after 19 years together.
Bob worked at Lau Industries as a Manufacturing Manager in Rochester, Indiana for over 25 years. Retiring in 2020.
He was a member of Faith Outreach Center of Rochester, Indiana, American Legion Post #36 of Rochester, Indiana, and Rochester Moose Lodge #1107. He was a graduate of Kingston High School, Chagrin Falls, Ohio with the class of 1966. Bob served his Country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army from 1970 – 1972. Bob was awarded a Bronze Star for his courage before his honorable discharge on November 16, 1972.
Bob is survived by his Daughter – Kamisha Johnson and husband Rodney of Kent, Ohio; Kamisha’s mother and Bob’s first wife – Terry Harris and former sister-in-Law – Pat Reccord; and Several Nieces & Nephews
Close friends – Ted Denton and Gloria Jean Cooper both of Rochester, Indiana
Preceded in Death by: Parents, Wife – Patricia Harris, a Brothers – Willie Harris Jr. and Clarence Harris
A Military Service will take place on Friday April 10, 2026, in the Cleveland Memorial Gardens with Military Honor performed by the United States Army Honors Guard.
