Randall "Randy" Ringer Obituary

Randall “Randy” Eugene Ringer, age 61, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026. He was born June 8, 1964, in Plymouth, Indiana, to Eugene Ringer (deceased) and Helen Crow Ringer.

Randy was a distinguished Army veteran and a respected project manager at JMC Engineering, but his true heart belonged to the land and his shop. He cherished the years he spent farming and found great peace in the meticulous work of restoring John Deere tractors. Yet, if you asked Randy, he would tell you without hesitation that his greatest title was "Dad."

Randy’s journey as a father began with his daughters, Tara and Samantha, whom he raised with a devotion that defined his character. In 1994, he married Michelle, and together they shared 31 years of marriage. During those three decades, they grew their family, welcoming Tyler and Maci. To all four of his children, Randy was a steady compass; he poured himself into teaching them resilience, responsibility, and the true meaning of unconditional love. His children were his greatest pride, and the lessons he instilled in them remain his most enduring legacy.

The only thing rivaling his pride in his children was his dedication as the eldest of seven. His brothers and sisters were his best friends, and Randy took his role as the oldest seriously—rarely passing up a chance to play his "big brother card" never hesitating to take charge or tell you the "right" way to do something.

Yet, his bossy nature was rooted in a deep love for his family. He lived for the moments that brought them together. There weren’t many weeks that went by that they didn’t all end up together somewhere—uninvited and unexpected—for a meal. Whether it was stopping by his mom and dad’s or his siblings' houses to grab coffee, breakfast, or lunch, Randy would stay for hours just to talk.

Whether he was in his garage cheering for the Chicago Cubs and Dallas Cowboys, testing his wit against Jeopardy!, or hitting the open road on his Harley-Davidson, Randy lived life with a quiet strength. He lived for family trips to Dallas, four-wheeler rides, and weekends away with "the guys." A man of immense loyalty and a first-call friend in times of trouble, Randy’s legacy is simple: he put his family first, always. He leaves behind a world made better by his devotion as a husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend.

Randy is survived by his wife, Michelle, children Tara Ringer (Valparaiso), Samantha (Tyler) Sizelove (Indianapolis), Tyler (Madison) Ringer (Argos), Maci Ringer (Argos), his mother Helen Ringer, stepmother Robbie Ringer, and father-in-law Sam Fugate. He also leaves behind beloved siblings Shaunna (Todd) Bennett (Plymouth), Jon (Shelli) Ringer (Culver), James Ringer (Oklahoma), Rollonna Sauberlich (Culver), and Joni (Kris) List (Oklahoma). He will be missed dearly by his sweet grandchildren, Haven, Landon, Tripp, Nova, Eddie, Anelle, and Myah. Randy was preceded in death by his father Eugene, brother Rodney, grandson Nickolai, niece Elsie and his mother-in-law Jaunita Fugate.

A celebration of life will be held at Parkside Community Church, 225 S. Michigan St. Argos, IN 46501 on February 7, 2026. The visitation will take place from 11am – 1pm, followed immediately by a ceremony beginning at 1pm with Military Honor conducted by the United States Army.
