Phyllis Elaine (Carter) Adams

Phyllis Elaine (Carter) Adams, 84 of Michigan Road, Argos, Indiana died on February 20, 2018 at 1:39 a.m. at her residence following a short illness.
She was born on March 15, 1933 in Culver, Indiana to Ernest W. Carter and Goldie L. (Good) Carter and had lived all of her life in Marshall County.

On July 6, 1952 in Culver, Indiana she married Harold L. Adams who preceded her on April 15, 2005.
She was a former member of Jordan Baptist Church, Argos, Indiana where she had served as a Deaconess.

Phyllis was a graduate of Culver High School with the class of 1952.
Phyllis was a avid reader enjoying newspapers and books. She especially enjoyed Richard Paul Evans novels. She wrote poetry, painter of many pictures, and loved a good crossword puzzle. She loved watching the Cubs and cheering them on.
Phyllis was always ready for a trip to KFC or the Streamliner Restaurant.

Phyllis is survived by her Daughters – Debra Kilmer and husband Ray of Monticello, Indiana; and Rhonda Rogers of Argos, Indiana
6 Grandchildren - Stephanie Adams-Gilmer; Rachael Holderread; Brandy VanScoik; Jeremy VanScoik; Benjamin Kilmer; and Timothy Kilmer 5 Great Grandchildren

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Brothers – Shirley L. Carter, Ernest L. Carter, Marion C. Carter, and Donald L. Carter

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday February 24, 2018 from 11a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana.  
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday February 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana with Rev. Mark Fishburn.
Burial will follow at the Culver Masonic Cemetery, Culver, Indiana.

Memorial Contributions may be made to:  American Cancer Society or Southern Care Hospice
