Phillip "Tinny" Binion, 87 of Plymouth, Indiana passed away September 2, 2024, at 10:15 a.m. in Miller's Merry Manor, Plymouth. On January 10, 1937, in Olive Hill, Kentucky he was born to Willis Binion & Goldie (Fife) Binion. Phillip had, lived most of his adult life in Marshall County, Indiana.
On April 16, 1974, in Culver, Indiana he married Velma Jean May and together they shared the next 50 years.
He was a Sawmill Operator having owned and operated his own business, later working at Richard’s Sawmill.
The name Phillip meaning “Horse Lover”, and over the years his life was a true testament to that. He had a great fondness for horses and enjoyed time spent with them. He loved his family and grandchildren and many friends he made along the way.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ
Phillip is survived by his Wife – Jean Binion of Plymouth, Indiana
Daughters – Freida Conn of Argos, Indiana; Patty Lyons and husband Paul of Warsaw, Indiana; Teresa Taylor and husband Scott of Grovertown, Indiana; Becky Klingerman and husband Andy of Plymouth, Indiana
Sons – Kenny Binion of Hamlet, Indiana; Mark Binion of Chesapeake Bay, Virginia; Mike Conn of Plymouth, Indiana; Jerry Conn and wife Tammie of Tippecanoe, Indiana; and Tim Binion of Warsaw, Indiana
23 Grandchildren, 23 Great-Grandchildren
Sisters – Wanda Conley of Shirley, Indiana; and Barb Porter and husband Marvin of Warren, Ohio
Brother – Danny Binion of Niles, Ohio
He is preceded in death by his Parents; Sons – Phillip Binion Jr., Robert Binion, Paul Binion, Anthony Burnham, and David Allen Binion; Sister – Sue Mocabee; Brothers – Willis Binion Jr, Howard Binion, Woodrow Binion, Glenn Binion, and Robert Lee Binion
Friends may visit with the family Thursday September 5, 2024, from 3 - 7 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ, 15676 Michigan Rd., Argos, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be Friday September 6, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. James Snyder. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana.
