Nancy Sue (Dinius) Dennie, 77 of rural Argos, Indiana passed away on March 8, 2026, at 4:35 p.m. at Life Care Center, Rochester, Indiana. On September 26, 1948, in Argos, Indiana she was born to William Max Dinius and Roma (Neidig) Dinius. She lived in Marshall County most of her life.
On August 16, 1980, she married Chancey Joe Dennie and together they shared the next 45 years.
Nancy was a schoolteacher having taught Home Economics and later Family & Consumer Science. She worked for 10 years with the City of Gary, Indiana school system and then 33 years at Oregon-Davis school system in Hamlet, Indiana.
Nancy was a graduate of Triton High School with the class of 1966. She continued her education at Purdue University earning her bachelor’s degree in 1971 and she earned her master’s degree from Indiana State in 1973.
Nancy is survived by her Husband – Joe Dennie of Argos, Indiana
Sons – Mike Dennie of Clovis, New Mexico; and Cory Dennie and wife Terri of Culver, Indiana.
Grandchildren: Alicia (Trevor) Neidlinger, Cameron (Halle) Dennie, Ashley (Johnny) Dennie, Ethan (Hope) Dennie and, 3 Great Grandchildren
Sister – Janet Liljestrand and husband Robert of Scott Depot, West Virginia; Beth Beeson of Wilmington, North Carolina and Ellen Bishop and husband Mark of Wilmington, North Carolina;
Brother – David Dinius and wife Betty of Bourbon, Indiana
Sister-in-Law – Janet Dinius of California and Mara Dinius of Indianapolis
She is preceded in death by her Parents and Brothers – Richard Dinius and Lowell Dinius
Friends may visit with the family on Friday March 13, 2026, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Walnut Church, 5975 19th Road, Argos, Indiana. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. David William of the Walnut Church. Burial will conclude at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon, Indiana
