Mary Alice (Lowry) McGriff

Mary Alice (Lowry) McGriff, 83 of Argos, Indiana passed away August 5, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. in Center for Hospice Care House, South Bend, Indiana following a brief illness. On April 4, 1937 in Bourbon, Indiana she was born to Edward A. Lowry and Marie A. Hart and had lived most of her life in Marshall County, Indiana. 

On March 13, 1954 she married Raymond Francis McGriff together they shared the next 60 years together before Raymond’s death on January 16, 2014.

Mary was a housewife/homemaker and was actively involved in Marshall County 4-H volunteering countless hours; and the RSA – Roller Skating Association, Indianapolis, Indiana.  

Mary is survived by her Daughter – Angela Smith and husband Jay of Argos, Indiana

Sons – Rick McGriff and wife Cindy of Waterboro, Maine; and Tony McGriff and wife Lillian of Plymouth, Indiana.

Sister – Jody Friend and husband Joe of Michigan City, Indiana

She is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband; Son – Michael McGriff; Brothers – John Lowry and Carl Lowry; Sister - Patricia Brugh; and Grandson – Michael A. McGriff

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday August 11, 2020 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana.

Funeral Services will follow on Tuesday August 11, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana with Rev. Robert E. Rice and Richard Tracy. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana.
