Mary Anne (Murphy) Laverdiere

Mary Anne (Murphy) Laverdiere, 76 of Argos, Indiana passed away December 27, 2023, at 11:07 a.m. at Miller's Merry Manor, Culver, Indiana. On September 23, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Mary Anne was born to William J. Murphy and Helen E. (Maushake) Murphy. She lived in the Argos community since 2013 having lived in Richmond, Maine prior.

On August 13, 1983, at the Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, Connecticut Mary Anne married Jean Emile Laverdiere and together they shared the next 40 years.

Mary Anne worked as a Civilian Supply Medical Clerk at Naval Submarine Base New London and Naval Air Station Brunswick, Maine.  

She attended St. Michael Catholic Church, Plymouth, Indiana. Mary Anne was very talented at many arts. She loved to give her finished projects out to many. She loved to read, you could always find her with a good book in hand when not crafting . Where ever she went she brought Joy to all around.  

 Mary Anne is survived by her Husband – Jean Laverdiere of Argos, Indiana

Daughters – Mary V. Plourde and husband Roland of Louisiana and Rebecca Davis and husband Michael of Argos, Indiana

Son – William Thomas Laverdiere and wife Denise of Maine.

8 Grandchildren – Ryan, Shane, Taylor, Nathaniel, Christopher, Logan, Allyson, and Lillian   

6 Great Grandchildren 

Sisters – Eileen McGivern, Theresa Hamilton, Kathleen Robinson

Brothers – William Murphy, Lawrence Murphy, Kevin Murphy, Gerard Murphy  

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Sisters – Miriam Oakes and Helen Lucenko, and Brother – Joseph Murphy

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday January 3, 2024, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana
