Marvin Lee Snyder

Marvin Lee Snyder, 81 of Kenilworth Road, Argos, Indiana died on September 18, 2017 at 1:07 p.m. at the South Bend Hospice House, South Bend, Indiana. Marvin had been in declining health for the past couple of years.
On March 5, 1936 in Kewanna, Indiana he was born to Alpheus “Al” Snyder and Mary Fern (Pasco) Snyder. Marvin lived most of his life in the Argos community.

On June 3, 1956 at the Santa Anna United Methodist Church, Argos, Indiana he married Nyla Jane Irwin. She preceded him in death on November 21, 2016.
Marvin worked for Coca-Cola in Plymouth, Indiana for 58 years. Having been a route driver he got the nickname “Bottles”. He finished his time at Coca-Cola in Maintenance.
Nyla and Marvin owned the Dragon Den – Pizza Parlor from 1976 - 1979  

He attended Green Township and Argos High School.
Marvin was a member of the Argos Lions Club and had received a 50 year award; he was a member of the Plymouth Moose Lodge.
In 1966, he became a member of the Marshall County Sheriff Posse. Each member was a commissioned Deputy Sheriff and was on call day and night.
Marvin enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola, Roy Rogers, and John Deere memorabilia.

Marvin is survived by his Daughter – Laurinda Taylor and husband Charles of Plymouth, Indiana
Son-in-Law – LeeRoy Bennett of Argos, Indiana
Grandchildren – MarLanna Howell, Argos, Indiana; Travis Howell, Argos, Indiana; Joshua VanVactor, Plymouth, Indiana; LeeAnna Dowd, Plymouth, Indiana; and Christine Bennett, Bourbon, Indiana.

Sisters – Jo Allyson Schaden and husband Dick of California; and Mae Swigart of Clearwater, Florida
Brother – Paul Eugene Prilaman and wife Chris of Logansport, Indiana

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Daughter – Lynda Bennett, Three Grandchildren – Dustin Howell, Jonathan VanVactor, and Patricia Bennett, Four Sisters and Eight Brothers

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday September 21, 2017 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana.  
Funeral Services will be held on Friday September 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home with Rev. Sue Irwin.
Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana
