MariEdd (Allen) McCune

MariEdd (Allen) McCune, 79 of Argos, Indiana passed away on September 1, 2021 at 6:27 p.m. at Center for Hospice, Raclin House, Mishawaka, Indiana following a short illness. On August 17, 1942 in Chcago, Illinois she was born to Hargis Allen and Mary (Webb) Allen-Schwartz. MariEdd lived in the Argos community since 1962, coming from Monterey, Indiana.

On November 22, 1962 at the Poplar Grove Methodist church she married James E. McCune and with each other they shared the next 51 years before Jim passed away on August 6, 2014.

She was a Housewife/Homemaker and a Farmer’s Wife. MariEdd was a graduate of Monterey High School with the class of 1961, Monterey, Indiana.

MariEdd is survived by her Daughters - Rhonda Lea McCay and husband Mike of Argos, Indiana; and Darla Kay Harrington and husband Mike of Remington, Indiana.

6 Grandchildren – Staci Singleton and Significant Other Justin Koss, Erica Haag and husband Chad, Carly Hollar and husband Matt Hollar, Ryan Harrington, Sean Harrington and Significant Other Johathan Coffin, and Matthew Harrington

3 Great-Grandchildren – Whittlee Singleton, Weston Haag, and Tinley Sue Haag. Carly and Matt have another on the way very soon.

Brother – Lester “Butch” Barnett and wife Sandi of Michigan City, Indiana

She is preceded in death: her Parents, Husband. Sisters – Anita Mickow, and Vicki Chambers; Brothers – Dennis Allen, and Garry Schwartz

A Gathering of family and friends will take place on Sunday September 12, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at MariEdd her residence Argos, Indiana.

Memorial Service will be at 12:00 p.m. followed by a Time of Remembrance and a meal.
