Margaret Clarabelle (Ayers) Spaid

Margaret Clarabelle (Ayers) Spaid, 89 of Venice, Florida and formerly of Marshall County, Indiana passed away on  April 19, 2021 at 8:45 a.m. at Venice Regional Bayfront Health, Venice, Florida. On October 7, 1931 in Plymouth, Indiana she was born to James A. Ayers and Dorothy (Rensberger) Ayers. Margaret had lived in Florida for a year, having lived all of her life in Marshall County, Indiana.

On August 6, 1956 in Plymouth, Indiana she married Dale E. Spaid and together they shared 63 years with each other. Dale preceded her on September 13, 2019.

Margaret and Dale owned a Dairy Farm and she was a Switchboard operator at Mecks Corporation. Margaret was a graduate of LaPaz High School with the class of 1949 and was a cheerleader.

She was a member of the Marshall County Dairy Association.

Margaret is survived by her Daughter – Linda Morrison and husband Denny of Culver, Indiana; and Son – Jeff Spaid and friend Ken Jurek of Sarasota, Florida.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Sister – Edna Bottorff, and Brother – James Ayers

Friends may visit with the family on Monday April 26, 2021 from 10 a.m. – 12 noon at Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana

Funeral Services will follow 12:00 noon at the funeral home with Rev. Robert E. Rice Jr. Burial will follow at the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana.
