Loren Mackey Jennings

Loren Mackey Jennings, 92 of Inverness, Florida went home to be with the Lord on September 18, 2024, at 9:31 a.m. in Select Specialty Hospital in The Villages, Florida. On April 9, 1932, in Lincoln Township, Michigan he was born to Clyde Jennings & Margaret (Daskovitz) Jennings. Loren had lived in Inverness, Florida for the past 2 years, coming from Fremont, Indiana.

Loren married Beverly June Hapner in 1953 until her passing in 2010. He then married Wanda Sires in 2012 until her passing in 2019.

He had been a Salesman for many manufacturing and Industrial companies throughout his life.

Loren was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Angola, Indiana, Cornerstone Baptist Church, Inverness, Florida, & Word of Life Fellowship, Schroon Lake, New York.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force from October 5, 1951, till receiving his Honorable Discharge on October 4, 1955. Loren served as an Official for all sports for the IHSAA of Indiana and the MHSAA of Michigan for over 40 years. 

He was a graduate of Shepherd High School class of 1951.

Loren is survived by his Daughters - Cherie Cheramie and husband Dewayne of Norton, Ohio; and Jeanie Brown and husband Chris of Argos, Indiana

Son - Chris Jennings of Holt, Michigan

Sisters – Vivian Mason of Mount Pleasant, Michigan; Joyce Horton of Evart, Michigan; Elaine Endres and husband John of Sears, Michigan; Darlene Jones and husband Russell of Lakeland, Florida; Shirley Holmes and husband Claude of Lansing, Michigan; and Rebecca Rader and husband John of Dunsmuir, California

Brother – Gene Jennings and wife Linda of Farmington, Arkansas

He is preceded in death by his parents, wives, and four brothers – Clyde, Darwin, Albert, Larry

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Colon Baptist Church, 200 Frank Ave., Colon Michigan on November 23, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. EST. A private burial has already taken place at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana. Please join the family as they celebrate Loren's life of service, well lived for the Lord.
