Lloyd Freeman DePue, 71 of Winamac, Indiana died on June 25, 2015 at 2:46 p.m. in the Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac, Indiana. He had been in declining health for several years. Lloyd accepted Christ as his Savior in November 1964 and is now in the presence of the lord.
He was born on August 4, 1943 in Argos, Indiana to Lyle & Cleo (Mathias) DePue.
He had lived in Winamac since 1976, coming from the Bass Lake area.
On December 27, 1975 in Logansport, Indiana he married Karla Rae Garner and together they shared the past 39 years together.
Lloyd was a Nursing Home Administrator in Knox, Indiana; He and his wife Owned of Sunday’s Restaurant in Winamac, Indiana and worked side by side for nearly 20 years; and was employed at First National Bank of Monterey- Monterey, Indiana.
Lloyd was a graduate of Argos High School with the class of 1961 and a graduate of Grace College in 1972.
He Honorable served in the United States Army from April 6, 1965 to March 10, 1967.
Lloyd loved playing basketball and baseball in High School and golf in his adult years
He is survived by his Wife – Karla R. DePue of Winamac, Indiana
Daughter – Carli Louise DePue of Indianapolis, Indiana
Sons – Beau Games DePue of Winamac, Indiana; and Kristian Deckard DePue of Winona Lake, Indiana
Sisters – Marjorie Davis of Crossville, Tennessee; and Lena Tomforde of Boca Raton, Florida
Brothers – John L. DePue and wife Rosemary of Argos, Indiana; and Lawrence DePue and wife Jean of Buchanan, Michigan
Lloyd is preceded in death by his Parents, and Sister – Mary Swihart
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. June 29, 2015 at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana with Rev. Robert E. Rice Jr. of the Walnut Church of the Brethren.
Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana with Military Honors being conducted by the United States Army burial unit.
