Juanita Gay (Stevens) Duff, 76 of Meadow Lane, Plymouth, Indiana died on June 7, 2016 at 2:30 a.m. at We Belong Senior Home, Plymouth, Indiana where she had been in declining health for the past couple of years.
Juanita was born on March 1, 1940 in Red Wine, Kentucky to Sanford & Elizabeth (Hill) Stevens
She had lived in the Argos Community most of her life.
On June 29, 1957 in Argos, Indiana, she married David L. Duff and together they shared 55 years before David passed on March 18, 2013.
Juanita was a Homemaker/Housewife. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her yard and searching for new collectibles to decorate her home. Juanita loved and served the Lord and was active in her church throughout her life, singing and teaching Sunday School and setting a great example for her family and those around her. She never knew a stranger and was always ready to sit and listen to a good story, as well as share a few of her own. She could be found many days sitting on the front porch enjoying the sunshine and gentle breeze.
She was a member of the Plymouth Church of Jesus Christ, Plymouth, Indiana.
Juanita is survived by her Children – David Duff Jr. and wife Kim of Argos, Indiana; Elizabeth Granning and husband John of Rochester, Indiana; James Duff and wife Ellen of Warsaw, Indiana; Naomi Ball and husband Andrew of Rochester, Indiana; and Stephen Duff and wife Sue of Bourbon, Indiana
15 Grandchildren 11 Great Grandchildren and 1 very soon
3 Sisters – Ruby Brock of Argos, Indiana; Bonnie Susits and husband John of Argos; Linda Hale and husband Jim of Lakeville, Indiana
4 Brothers – Herbert Stevens and wife Shirley of Argos, Indiana; Hobert Stevens and wife Claudett of Lakeville, Indiana; William Stevens and wife Linda of Punta Gorda, Florida; Sherman Stevens and wife Linda of Bourbon, Indiana
She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Brothers – Harold “Curly” Stevens; Donald Stevens; and James Stevens, Sister – Edna Roberts
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday June12, 2016 from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday June 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Argos Church of Jesus Christ, 15676 Michigan Road, Argos, Indiana with Rev. Lloyd Howard of the Argos Church of Jesus Christ.
Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
