Jerry Lynn Tolson, 67, of Michigan Road, Argos, Indiana died, January 1, 2016 at 12:45 a.m. CST at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, following a very sudden illness. He was surrounded by his loving family members as he passed peacefully from this life. Jerry was born on December 6, 1948 in Knox, Indiana, the son of Raymond Tolson and Marie (Jordan) Tolson. He lived in the Argos community since 1967, coming from Knox, Indiana.

On December 8, 1967, he married Linda (Hensley) Tolson, and they have shared the last 48 years together.
Jerry was a journeyman electrician and a certified millwright. He recently retired from the Indiana State Highway Department after 15 years. He was a graduate of North Judson High School.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Linda Tolson, of Argos, Indiana
Sons, Jeffrey W. Tolson and wife Brenda of Argos, Indiana and Benjamin A. Tolson and wife Teresa of Argos, Indiana
3 Grandchildren, Hunter Tolson, Sidney Tolson, and Elizabeth Tolson
Sisters, Helen Mullins of Knox, Indiana; Anna Marie Rudd and husband Robert of Michigan City, Indiana.
Brothers, James Tolson and Wife Anna of North Judson, Indiana; Raymond Tolson and wife Brenda of Knox, Indiana; Hager Tolson and wife Rose of Knox, Indiana; Danny Tolson of Florida; and Michael Tolson and wife Patricia of Knox, Indiana

He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Albert Tolson Sr.; and two sisters, Louise Thompson and Jackie Collins.

Jerry was a devoted family man, a loving husband and father. He loved music and was known for his beautiful singing. He never knew a stranger, always had a kind word to brighten someone's day and was always happy to help someone in need. Jerry will be greatly missed by all who know and love him.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday January 5, 2016 from 4 p.m. – 8  p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ, 15676 Michigan Road, Argos, Indiana. There will be an additional time to share with the family from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon January 6, 2016 at the church.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on January 6, 2016 at the church with Rev. Lloyd Howard of the Church of Jesus Christ, Argos, Indiana.
Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana.
