Jeffrey Edward Smith, 63 of Argos, Indiana passed away January 28, 2024, at 4:10 p.m. at Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. On February 14, 1960, in Warsaw, Indiana he was born to James Edward Smith and Marilyn Kay (Chapple) Smith. Jeff moved from Warsaw to Tippecanoe Indiana in1970 and has been a friendly face in the Argos community ever since.
Jeff married his high school sweetheart on October 11, 1981, when he married Sara A. Jones and together, they shared the next 42 years.
Jeff worked proudly for Plymouth White Metal Products/PiRod Tower/Valmont, Inc for 30 years. He has been employed and loved working for HRV Conformance Verification Associates, Inc., Pittsburg, PA since March 2010.
He was a graduate of Argos High School with the class of 1978, and Ivy Tech-Kokomo in 1980.

Nephews - Mathew (Laura) Smith, Argos, IN; Justin (Amberly) Stults, Argos
Nieces - Karla (Talwin) Davis, Noblesville, IN; Brooke (Scott) Burns, South Bend, IN; Courtney (Jake) Amos, Claypool, IN; Kirsten (Brian) Snyder, Plymouth, IN
Along with five great nephews and six great nieces.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father James E Smith and his father-in-law Ralph E Jones.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday February 4, 2024, from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Argos United Methodist Church, 570 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be Monday February 5, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Argos United Methodist Church with Rev. Leon D. Pomeroy.
