James E. McCune

James Edward McCune, 72 of Ironwood Road, Argos, Indiana died on August 6, 2014 at 5:50 a.m. at his residence. He had been in declining health for several years.
He was born on October 15, 1941 in Argos, Indiana to Merle & Leona (Ringle) McCune and had lived in the Argos community all of his life.

On November 22, 1962 at Poplar Grove United Methodist church, Culver, Indiana he married MariEdd Allen and together they shared 51 years of marriage.  
Jim had worked as a mechanic, but his true passion was Farming.
He was a Past Member of the Rochester Moose Lodge and the Culver Eagles Lodge. He had been active in the Antique Tractor Pullers Association.
He was a graduate of Argos High School with the class of 1959 the first class to attend the new high school. Jim and MariEdd had also spent the past 20 winters in Sarasota, Florida.  

Jim is survived by his Wife – MariEdd McCune of Argos, Indiana
Daughters – Rhonda Lea McCay and husband Mike of Argos, Indiana; and Darla Kay Harrington and husband Mike of Remington, Indiana
8 Grandchildren – Staci Singleton, Erica Haag and husband Chad, Carly McCay, Ryan Harrington, Sean Harrington, and Matthew Harrington
2 Great-Grandchildren – Whittlee Singleton and Weston Haag
Sister – Sue Ecker and husband Lou of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan
Brother – Kenneth McCune and wife Joan of Rochester, Indiana
He is preceded in death by his Parents.

Graveside Funeral Services will be on Friday August 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana with Gentiva Hospice Chaplain Steve Fleck.
Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana.
