James Davis Obituary
James Richard Davis, 83 of Novelty St., Plymouth, Indiana died on January 24, 2018 at 12:03 p.m. at the Catherine Kasper Life Center, Donaldson, Indiana where he had been in declining health.
On July 20, 1934 in South Bend, Indiana he was born to Norman Davis and F. Lucille (Shivers) Davis. Jim had lived all of his life in Marshall County.
On February 8, 1953 in Culver, Indiana he married Beverley Jeanne Thessin and together they shared 61 years. She preceded him on February 8, 2014.
Jim was a over the road Truck Driver and had worked for several companies
throughout his career.
He was a member of the Argos United Methodist Church, and a graduate of Culver High School class of 1952.
Jim was a Veteran of the United States Army from Aug. 15, 1955 to Oct 4, 1957 Specialist Third Class Davis received his Honorable Discharge.
Jim is survived by his Children – James Davis and wife Melody of Argos, Indiana; Deborah Thomas and husband Mel of Wabash, Indiana; Sandy Davis of Argos, Indiana; Rick Davis of Argos, Indiana; Steve Davis and wife Brenda of Plymouth, Indiana; and Terry Davis and wife Lisa of Cicero, Indiana.
10 Grandchildren Cory Davis; Stacy Thomas; Nicole Burt (Michael); Adam Davis; Gregory Davis; Ricky Davis (Kylie Shafer); Randy Davis (Allison); Matthew Davis (Alicia); Kayla Krathwohl (Karl); Dawn Ickes (Casey).
12 Great-Grandchildren Hannah Burt; Hudson Davis; Ella Davis; Ava Davis; Hayden Davis; Caythan Cullen; Lili Cullen; Rebekah Ickes; Sarah Ickes; Holston Davis; Jeremiah Burt; and Raelynn Krathwohl.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Son – Michael Davis, Grandson - Dustin Cullen, Brother – Leroy Davis
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday January 27, 2018 from 10 am - 12 pm at the Argos United Methodist Church, 570 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana.
Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. January 27, 2018 at the church with Rev. Jason Rice of the Mentone United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow at the Maxinkuckee I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Poplar Grove, State Road 10, Culver, Indiana
