Irma Joan Duda

Irma Joan (Funk) Duda, 90 of Argos, Indiana passed away on January 9, 2023, at 2:00 a.m. in Life Care Center of Rochester, Indiana. On June 9, 1932, in rural Fulton County, Indiana near Akron, Indiana she was born to Frank Oliver Funk and Faye Retta (Kindig) Funk. Irma lived in the Argos community since 2015, having lived many years in St. Charles, Illinois.

In 1955 in Chicago, Illinois she married John Edward Duda and together they shared 35 years before his passing on October 18, 1990.

Irma was a Artist and a housewife/homemaker. She was a graduate of Parker High School, Chicago, Illinois at the Chicago Art Institute.  

Irma is survived by her Children – Tim Duda of Schaumburg, Illinois; Greg Duda of Argos, Indiana; Tom Duda and wife Michael of Bensenville, Illinois; and Laura Badtke and husband Ralph of St. Charles, Illinois

Granddaughter – Melissa Rose Tracy of Argos, Indiana

Special Friend – Traci McIntire and husband Brian of Argos, Indiana

Brother – Dean Funk of Chatham, Illinois

Sister – Norma Jean Delaney of Homewood, Illinois

She is preceded in death by her: Parents, Husband, Brother – John Funk

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday January 14, 2023, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana. 

Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Athens, Indiana.
