Irene Helen Smith, 90 of Olive Trail, Plymouth, Indiana died on May 27, 2016 at 10:22 p.m. at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, Indiana.
She was born on April 5, 1926 in Buffalo, New York to Joseph Hufnagel and Thekla (Wuebben) Hufnagel.
Irene had lived in Marshall County, Indiana for the past 6 years; coming from Farmington, New York.

On July, 1950 in Buffalo, New York she married Harold I. Smith, who preceded her on January 27, 2003.
She was a clerk for Wade’s Supermarket for over 15 years.

Irene is survived by her Son – David Smith and wife Julie of Daytona, Florida
Daughter – Marie (Smith) Fishburn and husband John of Plymouth, Indiana
Grand Children – John Fishburn Jr. and wife Kris; Heather Fishburn; Christopher Fishburn; and Marlene Smith
Great Grand Daughter – Braelynn Fishburn
Brothers – Richard Hufnagel and wife Delores of Buffalo, New York; and Arthur Hufnagel and wife Maureen of Buffalo, New York.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Brother – Raymond Hufnagel, Sister – Margaret Hufnagel, and Grand Daughter – Aimee E. Fishburn

Burial will take place at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga, New York.
