Howard "Joe" Philip Rosebaum

Howard “Joe” Philip Rosebaum, 83 of Plymouth, Indiana passed away November 5, 2024, at 11:41 a.m. at his residence. On October 6, 1941, in Logansport, Indiana he was born to Edward “John” Rosebaum and Ellen Kay (Bauman) Rosebaum. 

On June 4, 1966, in Culver, Indiana he married the love of his life, Clara Powell and for 58 years they shared the joys, worries, tenderness, and companionship of their married life. They could always be seen hand and hand together.

Joe was an Iron Worker with Local #292, South Bend, Indiana. He was quite the entrepreneur, having owned several businesses throughout his life. The Argos Gas Station, Argos Parts Store, Argos Family Game Room, C&J Salvage, and running the Plymouth Mud Bog for several years. 

Joe was Baptized at the Plymouth Baptist Church, and a graduate of Culver High School. For many years he was active in local Stock Car racing, starting in 1948 with Go Cart racing to Stock Cars into the 1990’s. His favor number was 14 and he and Clara enjoy watching their family race throughout the years. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge. He and Clara vacationed all over the United States and wintered in Avon Park, Florida. 

Joe is survived by his Wife – Clara Rosebaum of Plymouth, Indiana

Daughters – Tawnya Thayer and husband Todd; Lisa Hensley and husband Bobby; Lori Parrish and husband Michael all of Argos, Indiana

5 Grandchildren – Michael Thayer and wife Ashley of Argos; Brandon Hensley and wife Lindsey of Argos; Kristin Verhaeghe and husband Kyle of Argos; Tiffany Herr and husband Cole of Plymouth, Indiana; and Stefany Edmonds and husband Sam of Noblesville, Indiana

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Sisters – Barbara Miller, and Janet Crum

Friends may visit with the family on Monday November 11, 2024, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Cornerstone Church,11525 State Road 10., Argos, Indiana. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Cory Fehr. Burial will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana.
