Helen Irene (Elliott) Bowell

Helen Irene (Elliott) Bowell, 91 of 635 Oakhill Ave., Plymouth, Indiana; and formerly of the Argos community died January 7, 2016 at 5:50 p.m. at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth, Indiana. She had been in declining health for several years.

Helen was born on November 11, 1924 in Argos, Indiana to Ernest W Elliott and Lela M. (Mann) Elliott and had lived in the Argos community all of her life.
On September 18, 1943 in Argos, Indiana she married Herbert “Bud” G. Bowell. He preceded her on July 19, 1996.

Helen was a Housewife/Homemaker and was a member of the Argos United Methodist Church, Argos, Indiana. She was a past member of the Eastern Star, Argos, Indiana and the Plymouth Country Club, Plymouth, Indiana were she was an avid golfer.
She was a graduate of Argos High School with the class of 1943.

Helen is survived by her Daughters – Sue Ann Stults and husband Doug of Waterville, Ohio; and Lisa Ann Davis and husband Boyd of Argos, Indiana
Son – Randy Allen Bowell of Maumee, Ohio
7 Grandchildren – Douglas Stults and wife Jennifer of Wilmington, North Carolina; Todd Stults and wife Katie of Fairview Park, Ohio; Bryan Hagan and friend Julie Owens of Winona Lake, Indiana; Alex Hagan of Argos, Indiana; Justin Dunfee of New London Naval Base, Connecticut; Kyle Bowell of Rossford, Ohio; and Taylor Bowell of Temperance, Michigan
5 Great Grandchildren - Blake, Patrick, Lola, Anna, and Cayden

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband – Herbert Bowell, Son – Robert Bowell, Brothers – Kenneth Elliott, Charles Elliott, and Merrill Elliott

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday January 16, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Argos United Methodist Church, 570 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana.    
Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 12:00 noon January 16, 2016 at the Argos United Methodist Church with Rev. Heather Foley of the Argos United Methodist Church.
Burial will take place at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana at a later date.
