Frederick Kenneth Krathwohl, 88 of Port Charlotte, Floridia, and formerly of Plymouth, Indiana passed away on April 21, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. at his residence. On March 24, 1935, in Gary, Indiana he was born to Valerie and Kenneth Krathwohl as an only child.
He graduated from Lew Wallace High School in Gary and served in the United States Navy.
Fred raced in the Tornado division at Sunshine Speedway and Golden Gate Speedway in Florida in the '70's.
He traveled the world when he worked as machine foreman for Continental Can until they closed. Then he was the Owner and Operator of Premier Transport out of Plymouth for over 20 years traveling the US as a long-haul driver.
Fred married Barbara Wilhelm on October 15, 2013. Retired in 2014 and they moved to Florida.
He was a people person and never knew a stranger. Loved meeting people and making friends as he traveled.
Fred is survived by his - daughter Tami Morgan (husband Ray) of Texas, Stepson Skip Perry of Florida, stepdaughters Connie Marshall and Debbie Nash of Florida. Stepdaughter Kim Vermillion (husband Chad) of Plymouth and Stepson John Dowell (wife Melissa) of Plymouth. Numerous beloved grandchildren and many dear friends.
Celebration of life will be held in Plymouth at a later date.
