Eugene "Gene" Alfred Ringer

Eugene "Gene" Alfred Ringer, 82 of rural Culver, Indiana passed away July 28, 2024, at 7:58 p.m. in Saint Joseph Health System, Plymouth, Indiana. On July 13, 1942, in Argos, Indiana Gene was born to Alfred A. Ringer & Goldie (Stickler) Ringer and had lived all his life in Marshall County.

On July 13, 1982, in Plymouth, Indiana he married Robbie Lemar and together they shared the next 42 years.

Gene was a Truck Driver and Farmer and served in the United States Air Force.

He was an avid John Deere fan and his clothing usually included something with its logo. It was a lifetime love, and he spent many hours working on his antique tractors.

Gene loved his family and was a fierce advocate for them. He enjoyed family get gatherings and celebrated every new addition. He loved joking around, and everyone knew to watch out for the “Whisker burns” & “Horse bites”. In his later years, his dogs became his kids. Everyone had to hear all about what his dogs could do.

Gene loved Donald Trump and anyone that would listen and some that wouldn’t, would get to hear about what a great President he was, and it was his greatest wish to see him back in office in 2025.

Gene is survived by his Wife – Robbie Ringer of Culver, Indiana

Daughters – Shaunna Bennett and husband Todd of Plymouth, Indiana; Rollonna Sauberlich of Culver, Indiana

Sons – Randy Ringer and wife Michelle of Argos, Indiana; Jon Ringer and wife Shelli of Culver, Indiana; Rod Ringer and wife Jessica of Plymouth, Indiana; and Jamie Ringer of Claremore, Oklahoma

11 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren

He is preceded in Death by his Parents; Grand Daughter – Elsie Ringer; Sister – Lenora Gann; Brothers – Rollo Ringer and Lloyd Ringer 

Friends may visit with the family Thursday August 8, 2024, from 3-6 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana. Gene's funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday August 9, 2024, at the funeral home with Rev. Dana Neer. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana
