Donna Lee (Johnston) Fishburn, 86 of rural Plymouth passed away November 2, 2024, at 6:27 a.m. in Miller's Merry Manor, Culver, Indiana. On November 23, 1937, in Ora, Indiana she was born to Francis Lee Johnston and Sylva (Manis) Johnston. Her father was killed when she was just 2 years old, and her mother became ill and passed away when she was 3 years of age. Being so young, Donna was raised by her older sister Erma and husband along with their son, William.
She met Roy Fishburn while he was in the Army and on April 14, 1957, in Argos, Indiana they married. They bought a farm in rural Plymouth as dairy farmers and raised 4 boys. Together they shared the next 41 years until Roy's passing on August 8, 1998.
Donna was a farmer’s wife and homemaker to her children. On August 2, 1959, she and Roy received Christ as their Savior. They continued farming until 1965 when Roy became a minister and they traveled in Evangelism across the United States until 1986 when Roy became Pastor of Portage Avenue Baptist Church in Portage, Indiana. In 1988 they moved back to Plymouth and together worked as Director of Child Evangelism Fellowship in Argos for the next 4 years. Roy later became Pastor of Jordan Baptist Church in Argos until his death. Over the years Donna worked at Farm Bureau Insurance, Plymouth, and Cultice Insurance, Culver, Indiana. Donna's passing will leave a void in all their hearts, especially granddaughter Jenni who had been blessed to live and be a companion to her grandmother the last five years.
She is a member of Faith Baptist Church, Plymouth, Indiana; and had been active with Child Evangelism Fellowship, Plymouth, Indiana. Donna was a graduate of Culver High School with the class of 1956.
Donna is survived by her Sons – James L. Fishburn and wife Mary of Winamac, Indiana; John W. Fishburn and wife Marie of Plymouth, Indiana; Timothy R. Fishburn and wife Georgana of Plymouth, Indiana; Mark E. Fishburn and wife Laura of Leesburg, Indiana

Sister – Edna Park of Lafayette, Indiana
Brother – William Robison and wife Joyce of Winamac, Indiana
She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband – Rev. Roy W. Fishburn, Granddaughter – Amiee Fishburn, and Great Granddaughter – Aspen Meyer, Sisters – Erma Robison, Phyllis Farrer, Vera Robison, Roxie Arney, and Brother – Donald Johnston.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday November 9, 2024, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Faith Baptist Church, 12987 Peach Rd., Plymouth, Indiana.
Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Paul Whitworth. Burial will follow at Poplar Grove Cemetery, Culver, Indiana
