Cheryl Anne Doan

Cheryl Anne (Gift) Doan, 77 of Warsaw, Indiana and formerly of the Etna Green community passed away November 9, 2025, at 7:36 a.m. at Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw, Indiana. On February 28, 1948, in Auburn, Indiana Cheryl was born to Raymond H. Gift and Evelyn V. (Jennings) Gift. She had lived in Warsaw, Indiana for the past 5 years, having lived in Etna Green and Bourbon for many years.

On September 20, 1969, she married Donald Larry Doan Sr. and together they shared 44 years before his passing on November 2, 2013.

Cheryl worked as a Telephone Operator and worked for L.M. Berry in Phone Director’s and publications. She finished her working career in Customer Service for Biomet retiring in 2012

She was a graduate of Warsaw High School with the class of 1966. She loved writing and had written several short stories and mystery novels. She enjoyed her Tuesday writer’s guild group.

Cheryl is survived by her Daughter – Erin Beatty and husband Brad of Etna Green, Indiana

Son – Donald Larry Doan II and wife Sharon of Bourbon, Indiana

11 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Son – Donnie R. Doan, Brother – Steve Gift, and Sister – Jean Pigman

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday November 15, 2025, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m.  with Pastor Dave Williams to officiate. Burial will take place at the Etna Green Cemetery, Etna Green, Indiana
