Anita Marie (Miller) Kirk

Anita Marie (Miller) Kirk, 63 of Old Lakeland Highway, Dade City, Florida passed away on July 26, 2020 at 2:50 p.m. at  Goshen Health following a brief illness. On August 28, 1956 in Yale, Michigan she was born to Allan Miller and Betty (Chipman) Miller. Anita had lived in the Croswell Michigan community for years. 

On December 28, 1990 she married Leroy Frank Kirk in Sandusky, Michigan and would have celebrated 30 years of marriage this December. Upon her and Leroy's retirement they summered at the Nappanee Raceway, Nappanee, Indiana and Sunshine Raceway in Dade City, Florida. 

Anita was a Meat Cutter having worked at Fleming's Meat Processing House and Kettwell's Grocery Store retiring in 2014.

She was a  1974 graduate of Croswell-Lexington High School in Croswell, Michigan.

Anita and Leroy loved harness racing and are active in the Nappanee Raceway were she was the current Clerk of the Track; and Sunshine Raceway having held many duties including Timer and Clerk.  

Anita is survived by her Husband – Leroy Kirk

Daughters – Kellie Ginther and husband Travis of Lexington, Michigan; and Kim Villegas and Kevin Fillmore of Lexington, Michigan

Son – Todd Henderson of Marysville, Michigan

Step-Daughter – Kristen Tait and husband Jed of Fort Belvoir, Virginia

Step-Son – Robert Kirk of Applegate, Michigan

8 Grandchildren    

Sisters – Denise Slone and husband John of Croswell, Michigan; and Lori Charles and husband Kenneth of Texas

Brother – David Miller and wife Sue of Croswell, Michigan

She is preceded in death by her Parents; a Sister and a Brother

Per the families wishes no services are planned.
