Albertis "Albert" L. Sherow Sr., 76 of 275 E. Warsaw, Indiana died Tuesday evening August 18, 2015 at IU Health Goshen Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born on November 26, 1938 in Plymouth, Indiana to Aldora Albertis Sherow and Anna (Fetters) Sherow.
Albert had lived in Warsaw, Indiana for the last 11 years, coming from Richland Center, Indiana before that.
On September 12, 1958 he married June Wilson…. June preceded him on February 9, 2004…. He then married Shirley Hibshman on December 17, 2004 and together they shared the last 10 years with each other.
Albert had worked from 1996 for Kabelin Ace Hardware Plymouth, Indiana and Walkerton, Indiana and had just recently retired on August 2, 2015.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army from February 16, 1957 to August 15, 1957 and was transferred to the United States Army Reserve Indiana Military District and served till November 25 1964.
Albert is survived by his Wife – Shirley Sherow of Warsaw, Indiana
Daughter – Judith L. Wallace and husband Donald of Rochester, Indiana
Sons – Roger L. Sherow and wife Edwina of Waterloo, Alabama; Albert L. Sherow and wife Camille of Warsaw, Indiana; Ricky L. Sherow and wife Stacy of Etna Green, Indiana
25 Grandchildren 19 Great grandchildren
Step-Children – Brenda Snyder and husband Dave of Goshen, Indiana; John Whitmyer of Elkhart, Indiana; Tim Whitmyer and wife Sandy of Jimtown, Indiana; and Andy Whitmyer of Edwardsburg, Michigan
He is preceded in death by his Parents, First Wife – June Sherow, Sisters – Lucille Stump and Rose Elsworth, Brothers – Danny Sherow and Roscoe Sherow
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday August 23, 2015 from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday August 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Patrick of the House of the Lord Church, Plymouth, Indiana.
Burial will follow at the Rice Cemetery, Elkhart, Indiana
